The ruling BJP party wins Gujarat‘s Morbi seat again. The people of the city have selected the same saffron party again after a month of a tragic bridge collapse that killed over 135 lives. BJP’s Kantilal Amrutiya leads by over 16000 votes over Congress party’s Jaynatilal Patel.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAM) candidate Pankaj Ransariya has 6,000 votes. Kantilal won millions of hearts when he jumped into rivers to save the people during the bridge collapse tragedy. The act impressed the people and earned nationwide praise.
