CSK beat Delhi Capitals in their previous game by 91 runs. The win kept them alive in the season. However, they need to win all their remaining three games and also should improve on their net run rate to make the playoffs. There are a few other factors that should go their way to help them get to the top four.

Mumbai Indians, are already out of the tournament. They lost their previous game against KKR. That was their ninth loss of the season. Mumbai also lost to Chennai previously in the season. The side will thus be hungry for revenge and eliminate CSK out of the tournament in the process as well.
