Meanwhile, Krishnappa Gowtham, who had replaced Avesh Khan in the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) playing XI, came to bowl his first over in the 8th over of the match and he picked a wicket on his first ball.

Gowtham delivered a good length ball outside off that went straight. The Delhi Capitals all-rounder stayed back and played a drive through cover without moving his feet and got the outside edge. The LSG wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock took a sharp catch behind the stumps and the on-field umpire raised the finger.

Mitchell Marsh didn’t review the caught-behind appeal and he walked back to the dugout in frustration. His innings ended at 37 runs off 20 balls, including 3 fours and 3 sixes.

However, later the Ultra-Edge showed that there was no spike when the ball was next to the bat, which led to the entire Delhi Capitals dugout getting dejected.
