Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounder Lalit Yadav grabbed a remarkable catch near the boundary rope to dismiss the in-form Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul in the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 1.

Meanwhile, Rahul smashed 77 runs against Delhi Capitals off 51 balls, including 4 fours and 5 sixes before getting dismissed on the 4th ball of the 19th over, which was bowled by Shardul Thakur.

Delhi Capitals pacer delivered a slower ball outside off and Rahul looked to smash it over the point boundary. However, Rahul was not able to clear the boundary as Lalit timed a perfect jump to grab the catch near the boundary and he made sure that he doesn’t touch the boundary cushions.

Lucknow Super Giants Score 195 Runs While Batting First vs Delhi Capitals

Earlier, Mustafizur Rahman opened the attack for Delhi Capitals against Lucknow Super Giants openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock and he conceded 6 runs in the over.

Pacer Shardul Thakur got the first breakthrough for DC by dismissing opener Quinton de Kock on the 2nd ball of the 5th over. De Kock scored 23 runs off 13 balls, including 3 fours and one six. At the end of the powerplay, Lucknow Super Giants were at 57/1.

Deepak Hooda and Rahul completed 50 runs partnership in 33 balls and Lucknow Super Giants reached the 100 runs mark in 10.3 overs.

LSG skipper and Hooda had a 95 runs partnership in 61 balls before Thakur broke the partnership by dismissing Hooda, who scored 52 runs off 34 balls, including 6 fours and one six.

In the end, Marcus Stoinis and Krunal Pandya helped Lucknow Super Giants post 195/3 on the board.
