Showing up to openly endorse Virat Kohli in front of India’s high-profile visit to the United Kingdom (UK), former Team India skipper Mohammed Azharuddin has supported the Indian batting maestro to get back in the saddle in England.

Former Indian captain Kohli has been rested for the T20I series between South Africa and hosts India. Run-machine Kohli had a self-contradicting season with Faf du Plessis-drove Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the fifteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

The highest run-getter throughout the history of the IPL was replaced by the South African batter as the leader of the Bangalore-based franchise. Bearing in mind the end goal of recapturing his batting form, Kohli took up the job of a pure batter at the RCB camp for the fifteenth season of the money rich league.

With three golden ducks and a progression of poor knocks, the Indian run-machine apparently neglected to satisfy hopes of the planet’s most extravagant T20 competition.

There Is Nothing Wrong With Virat Kohli’s Form

Discussing Kohli’s lean patch after the finish of the IPL 2022, batting legend Azharuddin stretched out his help to the former Indian captain. Batting for Kohli in front of India’s white-ball series against South Africa, Azharuddin thought that the former captain will be back among runs im England.

“When Kohli gets a 50, it seems he has failed, of course, he has not done much this year. Everybody, even the best, goes through a bad phase in their careers. Kohli has been playing a lot of cricket and now that he has got a little break, hopefully, he will come back to form in England,” Azhar told GulfNews.

“There’s nothing wrong with Kohli’s technique, sometimes you need a bit of luck also. One big score or a century will bring the aggression back and he will be a different player,” the former Indian skipper added. Kohli has been named in India’s Test team in front of the England visit. Team India will play the rescheduled fifth Test match against England at Edgbaston in July.
