Star Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar, who is set to miss the majority of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, has resumed net practice.

Pacer Deepak Chahar picked up a right quadriceps injury while playing for the India National Cricket Team in the third T20 International match against West Indies National Cricket Team last month in Kolkata and he was ruled out of the series against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. Also, it was later confirmed that the medium pacer will miss a considerable amount of games in the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

However, Deepak Chahar, who is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for his eight-week rehab, has resumed net practice. In a video shared by cskfansofficial on the social media platform, Instagram, the bowling all-rounder was seen doing batting practice. He was also seen bowling in the nets.

Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar was the second most expensive player at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru as he was bought back by the four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for INR 14 crore. Notably, the CSK franchise was engaged in an intense bidding war with the Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals to acquire the services of the pacer.

Chennai Super Kings will definitely miss the services of Deepak Chahar in the powerplay overs in the initial half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will open the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 with the battle against Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, March 26.

Also, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be playing for the first time under the leadership of Ravindra Jadeja who has been handed over the captaincy by legendary captain MS Dhoni.
