In Match Number 55 of the ongoing Indian Premier League season on Sunday night (May 8), reigning champs Chennai Super Kings were facing Rishabh Pant-drove Delhi Capitals at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. DC captain Pant won the throw and requested that CSK bat first, after which, riding on opening hitter Devon Conway’s personal best 87, they posted a sum of 208 for the loss of six wickets.

For the four-time champions, aside from the New Zealander, captain MS Dhoni contributed 21 runs from only eight balls to assist them with crossing the 200-run mark. The former Indian skipper hit one four and two sixes during his short appearance.

He uncovered that the 40-year-old likes to keep his bat clean, which is the reason to eliminate any piece of string or tape, he was seen gnawing his bat

“In case you’re wondering why Dhoni often ‘eats’ his bat. He does that to remove tape of the bat as he likes his bat to be clean. You won’t see a single piece of tape or thread coming out of MS’s bat. #CSKvDC #TATAIPL2022,” Mishra tweeted.
