Krunal Pandya Stumped By Saha

Rashid Khan has not been in the best of wicket-taking form in the ongoing season of the IPL but he has still bowled economically in the tournament.

But in the last game, he not only bowled economically but was also amongst the wickets. He was once again amongst the wickets against Lucknow Super Giants here on Tuesday at the MCA stadium in Pune as he got the wicket of Krunal Pandya in his very first over of the match.

Earlier in the day Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat first. GT did not start well as they lost Wriddhiman Saha’s and Matthew Wade’s wickets early. They lost Pandya soon after. But then David Miller and Shubman Gill had a 50+ partnership but the partnership was broken by Jason Holder in the slog overs. Some good hitting in the last overtook GT to 144 in their first innings.

LSG did not respond well as they lost 4 wickets before reaching the 50 run mark.

The 4th wicket to fall was that of Krunal Pandya who couldn’t read Rashid Khan’s googly and was beaten all ends up. Pandya couldn’t read the flight and the guile imparted on the ball. Wriddhiman Saha did the rest of the work behind the stumps as he collected the ball nicely and wiped the bails off quickly. Krunal Pandya way down the track, he had no time to return back to his crease.

This game is important for both the teams as both sit on 16 points and whichever team wins this game would become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. Both the teams are making their debuts in the IPL this season.
