South Africa National Cricket Team pacer Kagiso Rabada, who is part of Punjab Kings (PBKS), dismissed the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday, April 29.

LSG skipper Rahul has smashed over 350 runs in the Indian Premier League 2022 and is the second-highest run-getter just behind Rajasthan Royals’ Jos Buttler. Rahul has also smashed two centuries in the 15th edition of the tournament but he failed to perform well in the match against his Ex-team Punjab Kings.

Rabada bowled a good length delivery on the middle and the Lucknow Super Giants captain tried to defend it with a slightly open-faced bat. The ball ended up taking the outside edge and it went straight to the wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma, who grabbed a good diving catch to his right.

This is one game I wouldn’t be wishing well for Mayank Agarwal – KL Rahul

Earlier, Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to field first and they made no changes in the playing XI. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants made one change in the playing XI as pacer Avesh Khan replaced batter, Manish Pandey, in the team.

At the toss, Rahul talked about playing against his friend Mayank Agarwal and said that he will be looking at the match as just another game. He also said that the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings is the only match where he wouldn’t be wishing well for Mayank. He said:

Quite balanced, we are going to look at this as another game, another opportunity for us to get two points. We all enjoy playing this tournament and every game is important. Regardless of which opposition we are playing, we try to enjoy our cricket, try and execute our plans. This is one game I wouldn’t be wishing well for Mayank (*smiles*).
