Shaakuntalam is the latest Pan India movie written and directed by Gunasekhar. It is bankrolled by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju under the Guna Teamworks in association with Dil Raju Productions. It is a woman-centric movie and Samantha played the lead role. Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, Gautami, and others did prominent roles. The film is set to release on 17 February 2023.

Music composer Mani Sharma scores the tracks, wonderful background music, and songs. Sekhar V. Joseph takes the camera and it’s edited by Prawin Pudi. The story is based on the popular Kalidasa epic Shakuntala where Dev Mohan is in the role of Dushytana, of the Puru Dynasty.
