Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar believes Kane Williamson, the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), will not require a change in the batting order in the IPL 2022.

Akhtar did admit though, that the batsman needs to be more aggressive with the willow, which he believes is lacking.

In response to Williamson’s problems with the batting, Akhtar said to Sportskeeda that the SRH skipper should remain to begin the inning, but make the most of the opportunity.

“With the bat in hand, Kane must switch from William to villain and assault. He only needs to score for the squad to win (will be in trouble). The T20 format gives openers ample opportunities to score. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be successful,” he elaborated.

Hyderabad have lost their previous two games against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Delhi Capitals (DC), respectively, after a five-match winning streak.

“Natarajan is a promising young artist. He’s a valuable asset, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of him in the days ahead. Bhuvneshwar is, without a doubt, a brilliant and intelligent bowler. Both have a thorough awareness of their abilities,” Shoaib Akhtar Added.
