Superstar Rajinikanth‘s 170th film is going to be directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker TJ Gnanavel. The music for the film was composed by Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. It is tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 170’. The film was bankrolled by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner. Thalaiavar 170 will hit the screens in 2024.
The film is said to be a true event-based story. In a recent interview, director Tha Se Gnanavel said that he will be making a biopic of Dosa king Jeevajothi Santhakumar’s life and his battle against a restaurant mogul. So, superstar Rajinikanth might play the role of Dosa King or a fictional story based on it.
The director got several awards for his previous work Jai Bhim which stars Suriya, Manikandan, and Lijomol Jose.
Rajinikanth is currently working in Nelson’s Jailer film. It is expected to be wrapped this summer 2023. He was also roped in for the sports drama Lal Salaam for the extended cameo role which is directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
