Virat Singh IPL Career

After his brilliance in the 2019-20 domestic season. Virat Singh attended trial camps of many teams such as Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, and Rajasthan Royals before the IPL 2020. He was finally picked up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the 2020 IPL Auction for a whopping price of INR 1.9 Crores. There was a bidding war between these three teams.

Unfortunately, Singh did not play a single game in the 2020 IPL Season which was played in the UAE. He finally made his debut for his team in the 2021 IPL Season against Mumbai Indians on 17th April 2021. He failed to impress everyone by scoring just 15 runs in his 3 games and was also later dropped from the playing XI. The 2021 Season would have been a great learning curve for the youngster.
